Fishermen, students, and the general public are invited to a series of free community workshops on a number of emerging and ongoing fishery issues and programs. The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sat, Feb 13th at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, Ohau,. The workshops include nine booths about community-based management, various tagging projects, community grant opportunities including the Hawaii Seafood Promotion, the Marine Recreational Information Program, and many more. Presentations will be focused on annual catch limits, catch shares quota management, community development, and marine spatial planning. Parking will be free/validated, and refreshments will be provided. Enter to win a door prize, including a hand-held GPS!
