Aloha all,
A few weeks ago, there was a blog posted discussing the effect of
the molasses spill on the mature fish populations. There has been much speculation
on the spill by the media, but there still seems to be some level of uncertainty in
the reports on the effects it has caused. One month on from when the spill
occurred, it would be interesting to know how the ecosystem in the area is
recovering. For those that are interested, Carlie Wieners monthly radio segment
‘All Things Marine,’ will be discussing this topic with special guests. Here is
an excerpt from an email we received from Carlie:
We are back on the radio! Please join me

As always, visit http://www.cosee-ie.net/programs/allthingsmarineradioshow for podcasts of previous shows”
Be sure to check out the previous
podcasts too! For those interested in climate change (like myself) there is a
great podcast on the effect of climate change from a physical oceanographic
perspective. It provides viewpoints which somepeople may not consider. For
myself, this is especially in regards to the El Niño and La Niña effect, as it
has major implications back home in Australia . Be sure to tune in!
Aloha,
Ben
