We had the HIMB Annual Holiday Party last week. As usual it included:
Great music (thanks to Bobby, Sam and all of the other staff and grad students who played and sang).
Great food - thanks to Catering by Noel
And staff!
There was definitely a line to eat!
There was a dessert contest - which Leon selflessly helped judge and Christie Wilcox won again (congrats!).
In the ornament contest, the education department's glowing plankton did not win (I, of course, think we should have). We did an ostracod with green and red led lights. In reality ostracods are the ones we see on our beaches at night that have the bright blue bioluminescence.
But the most important thing of all - we had a great time with wonderful company!
A couple of our highly esteemed colleagues - volunteers too!
Without our volunteers, many many things would never have gotten done here.

To all of you, who make this and have made this such a wonderful place in the world,
