Ocean FEST:(Families Exploring Science Together)An Inter-generational Approach to Marine Science

Wednesday May 19th, Noon to 1:00 p.m.

This session will be held in the new HIMB Marine Learning Center Classroom (next to the graduate student housing).

Learn about the Ocean FEST (Families Exploring Science Together) program and what this HIMB and CMORE partnership project has accomplished in the last year. Ocean FEST is an exciting hands-on science program that exposes students and their families to ocean science research in a fun, engaging way. Our science content is based on research from Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research and Education (C-MORE) and the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (HIMB). Through Ocean FEST, students and their parents and teachers learn about marine science concepts and career opportunities.
