Check out an amazing thing - a crocheted, hyperbolic coral reef exhibit curated by a couple of women at the Institute of Figuring.
Frankly, I am at a loss for words on this one (I love the shapes, but actually trying to comprehend some of the math behind it made my brain hurt). Just go and check it out.
