Things to be Thankful For

As we finish out 2013, we might take stock of all that we have been privileged to accomplish.

This year we reached the highest number ever for Community Education Programs.
We touched over 5,100 lives with our tours, overnights and labs. These included:
Over 2,100 participants in our Community Group Tours and Marine Science Overnights,
Over 600 teachers, government managers, and VIP visitors - and
Over 2,300 school and college students in our labs and programs.
We reeled them in!

We went to new places for outreach, such as our local YWCA. Our blog reaches more folks each year.

Our interns and volunteers came from Hawaii, England, from coast to coast on the Mainland and Australia.

We created new ways to teach about the ocean with our night plankton labs.

We sponsored a project to light up the lighthouse, brightening grey days and late nights.

All of our volunteers had more thank yous than we can count. They made wishes come true and inspired children and adults.

We have much to be thankful for. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season.

Aloha,

Mark, Sal and Leon
