Boat and Tour Updates 07-29-11

Aloha all,

Some news - the Pauley Classroom is now open - you can take groups to the bathroom there. Although the air conditioner is not yet on.

Thanks to Mike, Chris and Deena for helping with the First Presbyterian group on Wednesday, Ron and Don for giving a tour to Dr. Helfrich's group on Thursday, Vicki, Gary and Bill for the Waikiki Seniors Center tomorrow on Friday, Christina for Saturday coming up, and Joe and Hazel for keeping the wildlife (touch table) fed.

Sarah Sorensen leaves today : (  She will be giving a talk at noon in the Pauley Classroom for any that want to attend. I am getting this out early since tomorrow will be a bit crazy (we have the tour, plus a group using the classroom, plus a Boy Scout group working on an project for us). So - to learn about trampled corals at Maile Point on Coconut Island, bring your lunch and stop by at the Pauley Classroom from Noon - 12:30 (sorry about the time and short notice, it was the best I could arrange).

Finally, thanks to those who stepped up for next week - but we still need folks on Friday. We have a tour and Carlie has a tour group as well that could use a volunteer or two. Let us know - you folks are doing great!

Take a look at the new blog post on 'Opihi below and check the CALENDAR!

Have a great weekend.

Mark
