CEP Boat and Tour Update 7/22/11

Aloha all,

It is great to be back in the office after a  couple of weeks on "vacation".  I was helping lead a group of scouts over an 80+ mile trek in the back country mountains of New Mexico. I am still catching up on my sleep.

Many thanks to Sal, Sarah and all for keeping things going so well while I was gone. And this week, thanks to Mike, John and Gary for the tour on Tuesday. Thanks to the animal care group for keeping the touch tank in such good condition as well - I saw Hazel today feeding the corals. They looked great!

Coming up - we have a big tour next Wednesday, and we have a scout troop that is working on building railings for the back stairwell. They may need a staff just to get them on and off island if they proceed that day. We also have a small tour on Thursday that still needs a guide as well.

Please take a look at the calendar!

And don't miss Sarah Sorensen's post on the Snails That Don't Crawl and Vampire Vermetids.

Have a great weekend,

Mark
